Alexandra-Maria-Lara
Alexandra Maria Lara (born in Romania) is a Romanian actress as well as a television host. She's best known as the main character in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control as well as Rush. Since she was the sole child of Romanian actress Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra started her career in showbiz as a child. The actress was in lead roles in dramas on television as young when she was just 16. Her acclaimed and critically acclaimed performance in the film for television that she made Der Tunnel paved way for many other noteworthy roles, including the role of Adolf Hitler's secretary Traudl Junge, in the critically and commercially profitable Oscar nominated war-time drama film Downfall. The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex are two other Oscar nominated films that feature female stars. Alexandra participated in several well-known worldwide and national productions over time. This includes the British biographical film Control Greek drama film The Dust of Time and French historical miniseries Napoleon among others. The actress was also a member of juries for the Transylvania International Film Festival, and was also a juror at Cannes Film Festival.
